Individual Therapy

One-on-one talk therapy with a BRIA trained counsellor can help you learn strategies and tools to deal with your personal issues. BRIA therapists are trained in a variety of modalities that can help you navigate your challenges. Although therapy may feel scary or too vulnerable at first, people often feel better when they address their struggles with the support of an expert therapist.

Couples Therapy

People often assume that couples therapy signifies the end of a relationship, so they are afraid to take part. In reality, it is a helpful way for a couple to communicate openly, in a private and confidential setting, and in the presence of a neutral third-party. Our BRIA therapists are trained to help you and your partner improve communication, and learn coping strategies for the future.

Supporting Partners Therapy

When one member of a couple is struggling with mental health issues, the other partner is impacted as well. Getting personal therapy can help each person process their own emotions and learn how to cope through a difficult time, at any life stage.

I have been a nurse for over the last 15 years with a clinical focus in Women’s and Children’s health. Working with families and in particular women, during challenging times, has always been a passion of mine.

I have been able to provide individual counselling using behavioural activation, that has been effective in addressing anxiety and depression related to infertility, pregnancy loss, as well as relationships and issues around diversity and inclusion, just to name a few.

The therapeutic space that I foster is one that is safe and validating, with the goal that you are welcomed as you are. Through our sessions we will identify goals, problem solve, as well as make connections between your past experiences and present emotions.

In addition to my clinical work, I also volunteer with various organizations that empower BIPOC high performing athletes to chase their dreams of playing hockey at elite levels. Through this work I help facilitate difficult conversations around barriers to the game as well as racism and discrimination.
