Individual Therapy
One-on-one talk therapy with a BRIA trained counsellor can help you learn strategies and tools to deal with your personal issues. BRIA therapists are trained in a variety of modalities that can help you navigate your challenges. Although therapy may feel scary or too vulnerable at first, people often feel better when they address their struggles with the support of an expert therapist.
Couples Therapy
People often assume that couples therapy signifies the end of a relationship, so they are afraid to take part. In reality, it is a helpful way for a couple to communicate openly, in a private and confidential setting, and in the presence of a neutral third-party. Our BRIA therapists are trained to help you and your partner improve communication, and learn coping strategies for the future.
Supporting Partners Therapy
When one member of a couple is struggling with mental health issues, the other partner is impacted as well. Getting personal therapy can help each person process their own emotions and learn how to cope through a difficult time, at any life stage.
Registered Dietitian
BRIA's Registered Dietitians (RDs) are trained food and nutrition experts who specialize in women’s health issues such as PCOS, gestational diabetes, and helping women nourish their bodies through postpartum and perimenopause without diet shame or weight stigma. They are recognized experts in translating scientific, medical and nutrition information into practical healthy meal planning to optimize mental and physical health.
Sleep Consultant
Sleep is the foundation for our overall wellbeing. Sometimes, women have trouble sleeping because their children are not sleeping, have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, or continue to struggle with bedtime and early wake-ups as their children grow. Our Sleep Consultant will work with you directly to develop a comprehensive plan to improve sleep and provide ongoing support and education.
Parenting Consultant
BRIA's parenting coach specializes in toddlers’ transitions, such as accepting a new sibling, starting daycare/school, and toilet-training. She can also help with gentle sleep training for your children.
Implications Counselling
Assessments and written reports are often required for select fertility treatments, such as IVF or “third party reproduction/conception”, the term used when an individual or couple uses donor eggs, sperm, embryos or a gestational carrier to grow their family. These BRIA services include a counselling session and one report. Patients will receive the report to share with their fertility clinic. (Extra time and fees may be necessary at times). Pricing and session type will be confirmed via email in advance of any session. Additional counselling sessions–as required–$250 per hour, will be discussed with health care provider prior to scheduling

Decision-Making Support
Making complex health decisions can be overwhelming and distressing. This experience can challenge our personal values and lead to internal conflict and unrest. Sometimes, we have questions about the right thing to do and have uncertainty when there is more than one way to proceed. Working with a BRIA bioethicist can help reduce the stress and burden of making difficult decisions. Decision-making support will allow you to develop confidence and comfort with your personal health choices.
